The above photographs are from my Unit 4 Photography exam project. I chose the question titled Mood & Atmosphere, asking me to create scenes with models and props setting a certain mood. The question suggested I look at Film Noir as a starting point, so I looked at Alfred Hitchcock films and found the Femme Fatales particularly interesting and I went from there photographing a friend in stunning make-up and 30's style hair. I tried using different models but in the end found it easier to direct my original model as she was used to me photographing her. After taking posing pictures like the first two i have selected I tried to use scenarios to inspire the photographs such as 'Capturing a rich mans attention.' and 'Seeing a murderer in a mirror reflection.' I have been researching 'charm' books for women and want to elaborate next on becoming a reformed woman, so taking my model to a more sophisticated scene rather than a sexy one.
